Community-Based Agricultural Extension and Training in Mountainous Districts - CBAET
( VIETNAM)
This JFPR -CBAET Project was conceived to complement the proposed Agriculture Science and Technology Project (ASTP), currently being formulated by ADB. In line with the Government's medium- to long-term strategies as presented in its Comprehensive Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy (May 2002), the ASTP aims to increase agricultural income and contribute to reduced rural poverty by strengthening the country's agriculture science and technology (AST) system (research, extension, and education).

Program for Hydro-meteorological Disaster Risk Reduction in Secondary cities in Asia
PROMISE is a regional program implemented by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center that aims to minimize the destructive impacts of hydro-meteorological events on vulnerable urban communities and economic infrastructure through enhanced preparedness and mitigation. The main goal of PROMISE is to reduce vulnerability of urban communities through enhanced preparedness and mitigation of hydro-meteorological disasters in South Asia.
